Canada takes the gold in hockey, eh?
I’m feeling slightly patriotic this morning.
As a somewhat self-loathing Canadian, I don’t often get the opportunity to revel in our ability to excel in … well … pretty much anything. We are the Ashlee Simpson, the LaToya Jackson, the Stephen Baldwin of the North American family. Don’t get me wrong, I love Canada, and Stephen Baldwin did have a couple of decent flicks (mostly just The Usual Suspect), but constantly living in a massive shadow can do damage to one’s sense of self.
Last night offered us Canucks some much needed redemption. So it’s not really a huge surprise that the big Canadian dailies decided to focus their front pages on the win.
